1. Has an RMB currency exchange counter been recommended to be set up in Kinmen Airport?

Ans: The Airport has contacted a few financial institutions for handing the RMB currency exchange service many times;
　　 however, there are no financial institutions willing to set up a counter.

2. Do the pet transferring regulations change all the time, and is the transport fee always calculated using different methods?

Ans: To protect people’s health and to avoid rabbis, when bringing pets in and out of Kinmen, and Matzu areas, it is
　　 required to contact the local Inspection and Quarantine station of the Bureau of Animal and Plant Health Inspection
　　 and Quarantine for inspection. If it is not handled in accordance with the regulations, punishment will be handed out
　　 according to the conditions. The pet transportation fee calculation method is handled in accordance with various
　　 airlines’ baggage checking regulations; the Airport does not set up any special regulations.

3. Why did the website cancel the flight information scrolling text marquee service?

Ans: Due to the special geological environment of Kinmen Shang Yi Airport, the weather changes a lot and can result in the
　　 flights not being able take off or land normally. The Airport invented the scrolling text marquee flight real-time
　　 information service in 2004. It announces airport visibility and flight information for passengers to grasp the latest
　　 information and arrange their schedule. The measure was appreciated by people since its implementation; however,
　　 there were also a lot of passenger complaints. The reasons being that most people have different ideas regarding the
　　 factors that affect flight operation. Therefore, without any other choices, the Airport amended the scrolling text
　　 marquee real-time information contents to the link of aeronautical meteorological service page on April 10, 2008 to
　　 provide people with the latest and more accurate visibility data. According to the amendment of AIP Taipei FIR on
　　 April 10, 2008, the pilots flying out of the international or domestic airports shall follow the airport lowest flight level
　　 established by the airlines in accordance with Article 26 and 185 of the Aircraft Flight Operation Regulations. In
　　 addition, based on the manger and operator responsibility division principle and the abovementioned flight operation
　　 influence factors, the Airport is not authorized to decide whether the flight can take off or land, therefore, the Airport
　　 can only provide the scrolling text marquee information (link to the aeronautical meteorological service page and
　　 please contact various airlines for the flight dynamic information), and no longer provides the aircraft flight operation
　　 information.

4. Has there been an automatic mobile phone charging system established?

Ans: The equipment needs to be installed by suppliers and the users will be charged a fee, and in addition, rapid charging
　　 service will easily damage a mobile phone;  therefore, to avoid low usage frequency and causing passengers losses,
　　 the relevant facilities are not being considered to be installed.

5. Why are there no service personnel in the shops and information center when the last flight is delayed?

Ans: The service hours of the Airport information center are from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, in addition to the service personnel
　　 extending the service hours during Chinese New Year or the Airport under the condition of the aircraft operation
　　 having a lower level than the standard, the Airport information will not extend the service hours for other individual
　　 exceptions, such as delayed flights or additional flights scheduled by airline companies due to the airlines already
　　 having personnel who will be in charge of related passenger service to avoid affecting the service personnel’s
　　 operation for the next day. The Airport also provides intercom calls for passengers to contact the personnel on duty or
　　 the airport police for relevant services.

6. Are the product prices of the restaurants and shops in the Airport unreasonable?

Ans: The product price of the restaurants and shops in the Airport are set up in accordance with the relevant regulations of
　　 the Government Procurement Act. Regional and Taiwanese experts were invited to form a price review team to set up
　　 the product prices referring to the regional price level and the airline rental price, therefore the product price should be
　　 reasonable.

7. Is wireless internet set up?

Ans: The Council for Economic Planning and Development, Executive Yuan has planned to set up a wireless internet base
　　 in the public areas that are visited by the people in response to the urgent needs of establishing wireless internet in
　　 public areas. Due to the implementation of that plan, and the Airport being listed in the first stage scope, wireless
　　 internet service was officially activated at the end of 2004. In order to extend the wireless internet service areas,
　　 Kinmen County Government completed the “Wireless Kinmen” project in 2007; the Airport also received benefits
　　 from the project and has enhanced the wireless internet service quality.

8. Why are the TV programs unable to be selected?

Ans: The Airport once planned to divide the TV programs into news, sports, entertainment, and movies; however, due to the
　　 channel sounds being complicated and interfering with each other, passengers were complaining. Therefore, the
　　 project was stopped. Currently, the Airport adjusts the channels depending on domestic and international major events,
　　 but in regular times, it still mainly plays News programs according to the public broadcasting authorization
　　 regulations.

9. Why are the TV channels clearly biased?

Ans: To expand the service scope, the Airport purchased large screen LCD TVs several times to increase the viewing quality
　　 and satisfy the passengers’ demands. The Airport is an administrative agency, and the political status is always
　　 unbiased, especially during an election period, and it is strictly prohibited from hanging the candidate’s flags or
　　 having any activities. The TV channels are feedback from Jeou Tai Technology Co., Ltd. to Kinmen, it is simply to
　　 serve the passengers, and allow them to see the domestic and international news while waiting in the airport, however,
　　 according to public broadcasting regulation, it can only play ETTV news, if it is interpreted into being political, and it
　　 will not be fair. The Airport seriously states that there is no unfair political bias.
